Doug and Rae celebrate their 30th Anniversary 2008, are active members and volunteers at St. Mary of the Lake Parish and have two grown children, Andrea and Rick. The Tally's compete in marathons and triathlons, and are close with their families. Doug & Rae participate in civic affairs with Chicago Board of Election Commissioners, in their Uptown neighborhood with Buena Park Neighbors, and lead efforts to beautify the "Peace Garden" entrance to Lincoln Park.

Prior to joining Koenig & Strey, Doug was recognized with top sales awards and advancement for achievements in the information technology field. Doug’s earliest career was as a Detroit Police Officer while earning a B.S. degree from Wayne State University. Doug's highest honors are Officer Of The Year, and letter of appreciation from President elect Ronald Reagan for performance of personal protective services.
